SCastro Creations has an exciting opportunity for a 6 Freelancers: 1 x Videographer, 1 x Photographer, 4 x Runners. Please have a read of what the job entails in full and then fill out the form to apply.
This project is being produced hand in hand with Newcastle Film Club with all the profit from the project going to create opportunities for the club and its members.
Description of Project:
The client is putting together a promotional video and photo series from an International Women's Day event. The event is focused on women owned businesses. The client is keen to give this opportunity to crew who are female or female identifying creatives.
Job Role: Videographer POSITION FILLED
Type: Freelance, project based
Rate: £125 flat fee
Location: Ouesburn Trust Visitors Centre
Date: 8th & 9th of March, 2025, 11:00am -2:00pm each day
Application Deadline: 7th March 2025 at 16:00
Job includes:
Attending event and capturing the atmosphere of event, including shots of event stalls, venue, guests attending, special events happening during time there
Uploading all footage via Dropbox, WeTransfer or Google Drive once filming has been completed. Editing will be done by another company.
Must be available for both days of filming
Specs of Camera (camera can be provided if needed, will be Cannon R5c):
HD Filming
60fps or above for slow motion filming
Desired Skills:
Content Creation - an eye for being able to convey the atmosphere of event is crucial
Experience with filming people and events - This can be your own personal experience of taking videos on holiday or filming friends on nights out
Communication - WhatsApp communication is the primary way to provide updates during projects

Videographer
Job Role: 4 x Runners / Production Assistants ALL POSITIONS FILLED
Type: Freelance, project based
Rate: £50 for 3 hour
Location: Ouesburn Trust Visitors Centre
Date: 8th or 9th of March, 2025
Time: 10am - 1pm or 11am -2pm (Depending on role given)
Application Deadline: 7th March 2025 at 16:00
Job includes:
Attending event to help content videographer or photographer capture content
If with photographer, you will be asked to complete a form with each vendor you take a photo of. This form will be done via mobile phone or an ipad (ipad would be given to you), wifi or hotspot will be available for you to complete online form.
If with Videographer, you will be assisting them in setting up tripod, getting interview with main event organisers, and general running duties
Applications welcomed for those who can only do one day. Would prefer to give opportunity to as many people as possible.
Runner / Production Assistant
Job Role: Photographer
Type: Freelance, project based
Rate: £175 flat fee
Location: Ouesburn Trust Visitors Centre
Date: 8th & 9th of March, 2025, 10:00am -1:00pm each day
Application Deadline: 7th March 2025 at 16:00
Job includes:
Capturing headshot / booth photo of each vendor there (who would like to be featured, about 55 vendors over the course of the two days)
Providing 30 x photos of overall event atmosphere of the weekend. Attending event and capturing the atmosphere of event, including shots of event stalls, venue, guests attending, special events happening during time there
Editing Photos and uploading final photos via Dropbox, WeTransfer or Google Drive once filming has been completed
Final Photos to be delivered by 12pm March 12th, 2025
Must be available for both days of event
